Getting Here
By ferry: There are two regular car ferry services across the Clyde from Gourock ( half an hour on the M8 from Glasgow) to Dunoon. The Calmac ferry links with trains from Glasgow, whilst for cars, Western Ferries is normally more convenient operating, at peak times, 4 times an hour. Glendaruel is approximately 18 miles from Dunoon, taking the B836 through Glen Lean and then the A8003 towards Tighnabruaich [we are on the right one and a half miles from that turning]. You will see an old style red Telephone Box in the garden of the cottage overlooking the road. If you reach a turning to the left signpost to Ormidale Lodge, you have gone half a mile too far.

By road: Cross the Clyde on the Erskine Bridge (3 miles from Glasgow Airport on the M8) and take the A82 alongside Loch Lomond to Tarbet, then over the ’Rest and Be Thankful’ (the A83) ) before turning left onto the A815, sign-posted Dunoon. At the village of Strachur turn right onto the A886 and after 15 miles, just after the Clachan of Glendaruel, turn right again onto the A8003 towards Tighnabruaich We are located one and a half miles from that junction.

Subject of course to traffic, we are about 90 minutes drive from the centre of Glasgow [80 minutes from the airport]. Post code PA22 3AF
