Ground Floor Entrance Porch into the hallway with staircase to first floor, very spacious ’L’ Shaped sitting room to the right with log burner, and with double doors onto a beautiful deck area with wonderful views over the Loch. To the left of the hall is the well equipped spacious kitchen and dining area which leads to a utility room, shower room and another outside door, serviced by a ramp for wheel chairs. There is 1 twin and one double bedroom downstairs.
First Floor The first floor has a double room upstairs with adjoining bathroom- also a large landing with a sofa bed, with dorma windows overlooking Loch Riddon.
Outside Set on the lochside! Outdoors is what Tighnariddon is all about and the garden is fenced and gated so creating a safe environment for children. Other Information Cooking by electricity, oil-fired central heating plus stove. Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing/drying machine, microwave. Bed linen and towels provided. Well behaved dogs welcome.
Getting Here By ferry: There are two regular car ferry services across the Clyde from Gourock ( half an hour on the M8 from Glasgow) to Dunoon. The Calmac ferry links with trains from Glasgow, whilst for cars, Western Ferries is normally more convenient operating, at peak times, 4 times an hour. Glendaruel is approximately 18 miles from Dunoon, taking the B836 through Glen Lean and then the A8003 towards Tighnabruaich [we are on the right one and a half miles from that turning]. You will see an old style red Telephone Box in the garden of the cottage overlooking the road. If you reach a turning to the left signpost to Ormidale Lodge, you have gone half a mile too far.
By road: Cross the Clyde on the Erskine Bridge (3 miles from Glasgow Airport on the M8) and take the A82 alongside Loch Lomond to Tarbet, then over the ’Rest and Be Thankful’ (the A83) ) before turning left onto the A815, sign-posted Dunoon. At the village of Strachur turn right onto the A886 and after 15 miles, just after the Clachan of Glendaruel, turn right again onto the A8003 towards Tighnabruaich We are located one and a half miles from that junction.
